The Smoky Shrew Another friend of mine that lives in this region is The Smoky Shrew. Well at least my friend from a distance. Smoky ShrewThere are approximately 15,000 Gray Bats living in the Valley and Ridges region of Frick's caves. They are considered one of Georgia's endangered species. There are several reasons why this has ocurred. Bats traditionally live in large numbers in very specific caves. If for any reason they were not able to return to their normal habitat, this could threaten their existence. Because of the special circumstances surrounding their habitat, it increases their chances of becoming endangered. Follow the links below and to the right to find out more.
